During the 19th century this fine house with a sweeping panorama of Kinvara Bay acquired a reputation for smuggling into the country contraband wine and tobacco, among other items.

There is supposed to be a cave leading from the shore into the cellars of the house, but a diligent search has failed to uncover the reputed passage. The house is now privately owned....

A three-roomed cottage which the patriot Padraig Pearse (1879-1916) used as his summer residence. There are bedrooms on either side of the living room which has a fireplace, cooking and eating utensils as well as a spinning wheel. The west bedroom also served as a study. The items on display are replicas of those used in Pearse's time....

Built run by An Oige. It was here that Lady Gregory and W.B. Yeats met in 1898 and began the discussion that led to the Irish National Theatre....

This is the house in which Colonel Thomas J. Kelly, who escaped being hanged for his part in the freeing of the Manchester Martyrs, lived, it is situated in the Square. Colonel Kelly luckily escaped to New York while the other members; Allen, Larkin and O'Brien, the Manchester Martyrs, were hanged.

It is now a public house but still bears the name Kelly's. A plaque was erected on the front of the premises in memory of Colonel Kelly....

An 1819 house replacing an earlier house, it is built around the original central courtyard. It is now owned by a religious order....
